Canadian Customers may experience a
Palm HotSync error when attempting to retrieve their Palm Inspections.
Cause: The Date
format on the Palm and the Date format on the Computer may be different.
Solution: Make
sure both the Palm and your Computer are using the same date
format!
- US date format:
Jan. 31, 2003 = 01/31/03
- aCanadian date format:
Jan. 31, 2003 = 31/01/03
- On the Palm,
tap the Home icon. Then tap the Clock icon. If
you don't have a clock icon, tap the Preferences icon and select
"Date & Time" from the drop down box in the upper right hand corner.
Check to see if your date is in US or Canadian format.
- On your
Computer,
from the Start Menu, click on Settings, then Control
Panel then Regional Settings or Regional Options.
Click the Date tab at the top ( before XP) or the
Customize button (XP). Check to see if your date is in US
or Canadian format. If not, change it and make sure to click the
apply button whenever it is available. Go into the Breeze Software
and see if the date format has changed and/or is the same as the Palm.
